Inside the 2020 Embrace Ambition Summit

The Tory Burch Foundation hosted their second Embrace Ambition Summit on March 5 in New York City and I am so grateful to been selected to attend. It was one of the most inspiring groups of people (both in terms of speakers and attendees) that I’ve had the chance to be with and hear from. If interested, you can watch the entire summit here or check out some highlights here. The #EmbraceAmbition campaign is an initiative that works to empower women by overcoming stereotypes and the biases that we subconsciously encounter on a daily basis. What is such a hugely complex topic to address, The Tory Burch Foundation did so emphatically through the Embrace Ambition Summit by bringing together an inspiring...

Loving Lately | January 2020

I've always loved discovering new and interesting brands and products and sharing them with others - just see this journal post and you'll understand why. On a grand scale, this has inspired me to start my own business and dig deep for purpose behind everything I do and bring into my life. Through embarking on this path, I've loved getting to know they why of other brands; what they aim to deliver, who their founders are, what compelled them to start, and how their products are ideated and come to market. I came up with the idea of introducing a "Loving Lately" journal post on a monthly basis of things I've been turning to lately. I hope these spark some interest in you and inspire you to...

Product Spotlight: Wool Fringe Pouch

When I visited London in September, I had my sights set on visiting a few shops and markets known for textiles and haberdashery; a British term for "small items used in sewing, such as buttons, zippers, and thread; notions." It just so happened that our apartment was only a five minute walk from one of the shops - THE shop that I discovered THE wool fringe that I'm pretty sure we have all come to love.   I walked into the shop, beautiful fabrics lining the walls, floor to ceiling, and was immediately drawn in. I could have spent all day there. In the back, on the big work table used for cutting material, was a basket filled with colorfully eye-catching wool...

We All Have a Story Worth Sharing

In August of 2019, I was asked to be a part of the Moving Portaits film project, "a collection of one-minute documentary videos of people telling their stories of transition towards something new or unknown." This felt like my opportunity to try and finally put the feelings surrounding my recent career transition into words and I'm excited to share it with you! "We all do have a story and that story has value, even if it's hard for us to see ourselves." As this clip only captures 60 seconds, I've decided to share a bit more with you here. In early 2018, I realized I had become 'one of those people' that woke up to go to a job that left them feeling unfulfilled only to come home...
